Reflections: Looking Back

Some weeks I would feel creative and some week I wished I didn't have to even write another story. Most of the time I just want to retell the original story but I'd make myself reach in and pull out something more. I really enjoyed writing a couple stories such as, A Different Type of Winning and Picked on then Picked Up. Both of these stories are more than just me typing to get an assignment over with. I want both of these in my project. They're most likely my next step of my portfolio. Now that I have read others and revised one of my stories several times, I think I know how to make these stories better.

Some of the readings have been nicer to read than others. Some such as the Egyptian stories had the worst endings to each story that I felt like I was missing something. I'm happy to read each section and learn something new, but some sections are just me powering through. I typically find myself reading fairytales when we are given the option of choosing our own stories to read and I am not sure why.

This class being online has been great. I can focus on my major related classes in class, and then come do this one after work. I do feel like I am getting used to some people's writing styles. I know when we are assigned to groups, if I get certain people I will enjoy their writing.
I typically do this class after I get off of work. I can cook dinner and type as I go which is nice. I also like to wake up early on Tuesday and Thursday and work on this class. Not having class at all on Tuesday and Thursday allows me to stay up late the night before or wake up early which is nice.

The best part of this class is that I can work on it almost anywhere. I don't have a specific place, I literally work on this class at work, at home in my room or on my couch, on the bus traveling for work, at my boyfriends, and the library. I just do it where ever I can or if I really need to buckle down.

I haven't really done much extra credit, I like knowing I have the option. Once I get down with this class's required work, I have to do my other online class so I'm crunched for time and can't do much extra credit.

  1. First of all, great meme at the end!

Also, my schedule with this class sounds a lot like yours does. I don't have classes on Tuesdays or Thursdays, so I try to do work then, but I usually end up doing this class whenever I have a chance to. I also like it being online. It's extremely accessible, as in, I can work on this class whenever I want. I like how I can work on this class whenever I want to, wherever I want to!

And finally, I know the feels of when you don't feel creative a certain week! I feel that some weeks in this class, and practically every day when I'm writing my novel! I find that reading something non-school related helps me to get inspired!

  2. I totally understand the rollercoaster of creativity. Some days I wake up and it feels like my story writes its self, other days it's like pulling teach to get a few words out. I thought this class would be a piece of cake, but I'm finding out that it's not. It's nice that this class can be taken anywhere. Its really great when my schedule can be so spastic!

  3. Michelle,
You have quite a way with words because I can totally relate to what your saying. For me, my roommate and I will usually sit in the living room and keep each other company while doing our work. Perhaps you do the same as well, I'm sure your roommate is a swell girl, just a class act. I also really enjoy the graphic you picked because that is pretty much the way I feel all the time.
